About me
I am a Los Angeles based artist, animator and filmmaker who specializes in Cinematography and Previsualization for Animated Feature Films. Originally from New York, I studied Fine Art at SUNY Buffalo before moving to LA to attend film school at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where I received an MFA in Animation and Digital Arts.
After briefly working in Motion Graphics for commercials and music videos, I began my career in Feature Animation with DreamWorks in 2008 and have been there ever since. As a Final Layout Artist on films such as How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda 2, I focused primarily on camerawork and set dressing, before transitioning into a Previs role for Kung Fu Panda 3, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, and Trolls 3 among others.
I have since become the Head of Cinematography - Layout on films such as The Croods: A New Age and the upcoming Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken. Now as part of creative leadership, I find the daily collaboration with Artists, Directors, Story and Editorial Teams to be incredibly rewarding and love having the opportunity to elevate films and enhance visual storytelling through camera.
